“请大胆说出你的观点，声音本身就是力量！”10月16日晚，外国语学院外教Dominic Murray在学校一号教学楼外语沙龙，为百余位同学带来“How to give a speech”主题英语讲座。
"Speak up for your opinions boldly—your voice itself is power!" On the evening of October 16th, Dominic Murray, a foreign teacher from the School of Foreign Languages, gave an English lecture themed "How to Give a Speech" to over 100 students at the Foreign Language Salon in Building 1 of the school.
讲座中，Dominic Murray老师摒弃理论灌输，以幽默肢体语言和生动案例讲解演讲技巧，还下台与同学互动；遇同学紧张卡壳，他用风趣话语化解尴尬，现场笑声不断。“原来演讲不是背诵，而是和听众的‘对话’！”有同学这样感慨。
During the lecture, Teacher Dominic Murray abandoned rigid theory indoctrination. Instead, he explained speech skills through humorous body language and vivid cases, and even stepped off the stage to interact with students. When students felt nervous and got stuck, he used witty remarks to defuse awkwardness, filling the venue with constant laughter. "It turns out public speaking is not recitation, but a 'conversation' with the audience!" one student remarked.
整场讲座欢呼声与书写声交织，结束后同学们仍围着外教交流，氛围欢快。此次讲座让大家受益良多，更期待下一次与外教老师见面。
Cheers and the sound of note-taking intertwined throughout the entire lecture. After it ended, students still gathered around the foreign teacher to communicate, creating a cheerful atmosphere. This lecture benefited everyone a lot, and they are even more looking forward to meeting Teacher Dominic Murray again next time.
