口译硕士导师林娜近期在成都两大教育顶级峰会中担任口译，出色地完成了任务，并且收到了新加坡教育部教育技术处副处长丽萍女士的表扬信（附后）。
2013都江堰国际论坛是由中国联合国教科文组织全国委员会和成都市人民政府联合主办，林娜老师此次受成都市教育局委托，担任论坛翻译顾问，负责把关论坛相关翻译的质量，并且在会议期间担任芬兰教育讲座和分会场口译。在惠普“优创”项目会场，发言人之一、新加坡教育部教育技术处副处长丽萍女士，在精通英文、能听懂中文的情况下，对于林娜的口译质量给予了高度的评价，随后发来了表扬信。信中提到,“会场的发言嘉宾来自苏格兰、韩国和新加坡，都有各地的口音，林娜之前没有拿到任何准备材料，但是她优质地完成了专业术语的翻译和发言人意义的传达，她的翻译水平、沟通能力和工作态度给我们留下了深刻的印象。”
11月9-10日，林娜担任2013新教育国际高峰论坛口译，她与川大资深同传胡敏霞和吉晋一起，再次出色地完成了口译任务。在两天的论坛中，时间紧、任务重，林娜发挥了口译水平和人际沟通能力，得到了主办方的认可和与会嘉宾的赞扬。会议期间，德国华德福学校力邀林娜加入今后华德福主办国际论坛的口译工作。
林娜在加入翻译系后，一直以饱满的热情进行教学，同时她自己也是一个终身学习者。在不断提高英语水平和业务技能的同时，积极为学生寻找实践机会。在她的介绍和指导下，有MTI硕士、翻译本科、翻译二专业的学生连续两次参与了武侯区美国幼教专家大型评估项目的暑期实践，加入了四川电视节的口译和志愿团队，并且先后参加了几次大型笔译项目，为翻译系的学生培养和建设做出了贡献。

I am sorry to have dropped a mail like this on you, but I was quite impressed with Linna’s translation work, and I wanted to commend her for her professionalism and excellent performance.
I attended the recent 2013 Dujiangyan International Forum in Chengdu, and I had the privilege of meeting Linna who had been assigned the task of doing simultaneous interpretation for 3 speakers - a Scots, a Korean and me, a Singaporean.
As the third speaker, I had the opportunity of listening to Linna's translation for the first two speakers. I was particularly impressed with her ability in not just translating complex technological concepts but capturing the very essence and spirit of each speaker's message as well as conveying the speakers’ emotions.
Our presentations were unscripted and spontaneous and Linna had no prior access to our materials; all the same she succeeded in translating each statement quite flawlessly and accurately.
When we opened the floor for dialogue with the teacher participants, Linna did dual translation, moving quite effortlessly from Chinese to English and from English back to Chinese. This is quite a daunting task even for professional interpreters, yet, Linna did the translation seamlessly. The dialogue between the participants and speakers was quick and fast and it went on over 3 hours. Throughout, Linna remained professional, cheerful and enthusiastic.
I must add that she was an inspiration to us and her performance was most impressive, especially given that the Scots’ English was quite heavily accented, and both the Korean and Singaporean accents were probably a challenge too. And if I may add, all three of us were very delighted and pleased with Linna's work.
