【专业简介】
随着中国国家实力的提升，汉语在世界上的地位也越来越重要，汉语国际推广已经成为国家的基本战略部署。汉语国际教育专业旨在为蓬勃发展的汉语国际推广事业培养高级专门人才。本专业在2013年被教育部科学评价中心评为五星级专业，学科等级为A+，在全国250多所开设高校中排名第十。
【Introduction】
With the continued increase of China's national strength, the Chinese language is playing a more and more important role on the world stage, and the international promotion of Chinese has therefore become an important national strategy. The undergraduate Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (TCSOL) program aims at cultivating highly-qualified talents to help prosper the cause of promoting Chinese internationally. In 2013, the TCSOL program was rated A+ class and given five-stars by the Research Center for the Chinese Science Evaluation (RCCSE) of the Ministry of Education, and ranked no. ten amongst the other 250 or so similar programs in China.
【培养目标】
本专业的学生经过4年系统的专业知识训练和能力的培养，将成为汉语国际教育事业中的优秀人才，从事国际汉语推广与国际交流工作。本专业培养的主要内容包括英语和第二外语（法语或德语或西班牙语）知识学习以及口语交际能力的培养，国学、语言学、中外文化知识的学习，对外汉语教学能力、跨文化交际能力的培养，中华才艺的培训等。本专业师资力量雄厚，有博士学位的教师占总数的80%以上；拥有外国留学生教学基地，随时为学生提供对外汉语教学实习，另外还为学生提供到泰国、越南、欧洲等海外实习基地教学实践的机会。
【Program Objectives】
After four years education, the students of this Program will be able to serve as competent talents in the international promotion of Chinese cause as well as in international communication. In addition to a sound knowledge and competence in Chinese, English, and a second foreign language (French, German or Spanish), the students are required to learn Chinese culture and literature, Linguistics, and Cultural and intercultural exchange. Moreover, the students will also be trained in teaching Chinese as a foreign language and will be able to communicate cross-culturally. Training talents in the Chinese arts is an indispensible part of the program.
The program has a highly competent and competitive faculty, with over 80 percent holding doctoral degrees. The department has also established a teaching base for foreign students at SWJTU as well as in a few overseas teaching bases in Thailand, Vietnam and Europe, in order to provide valuable opportunities for teaching practice

【Main Courses】
基础课程：古代汉语、现代汉语、中国哲学经典选读、中国书画及赏析、外交外事礼仪、英语精读、英语口语和听力、法（德）语基础、法（德）语口语交际等。
Basic courses: Archaic Chinese Language, Modern Chinese Language, Selected Readings of Chinese Philosophy Classics, Chinese Painting and Calligraphy, Etiquette for Foreign Affairs, English Intensive Reading, English Speaking and Listening, Elementary French/German, Communicative French/German, etc.
主干课程：中国传统文学经典选读、汉语文字与训诂学、汉语音韵学、对外汉语教学概论、对外汉语课堂教学设计和方法、第二语言教学概论等。
Core Courses: Selected Readings of Chinese Classics, Chinese Philology and Exegetics, Chinese Phonology, Introduction to Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages, The Teaching Design and Methods in TCSOL, Introduction to Second Language Teaching, etc.
补充课程：中华才艺培训（烹饪、太极拳、书法等）、对外汉语教学实习。
Supplementary courses: Talents Training in Chinese Arts (Cooking, Tai Chi, Calligraphy), TCSOL Practice Teaching.

本专业是国家汉语推广领导小组办公室/孔子学院总部的志愿者基地，毕业生可前往海外任教；高等院校以及民间的对外汉语教学与交流机构；各级政府外事部门；新闻媒体；国内企事业单位职员等。
The program trains volunteer teachers for the China National Office for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (NOCFL), and the Confucius Institute Headquarters, in order that some graduates can have opportunities to serve as TCSOLs and work overseas. At the same time, graduates can also find job options at Chinese Teaching and Communication Institutes in colleges and universities or non-government institutions, the foreign affairs offices of government at all levels, media agencies, domestic enterprises and public institutions, etc.

【Length of Schooling】 The normal length of time required to complete the program is 4 years of full-time study.
【学位】文学学士。
【Award Title】The students, upon the fulfillment of the requirements for the degree, will be awarded the Bachelor of Arts.
