Platform for the Promotion of Overseas Sinology and International Chinese
(The Platform integrates the efforts of the Research Team for the Translation of the Confucian Classics with Dr. Hua Shaoxiang as its Director, the Research Team for the Multilingual Translation of A Dream of Red Mansions headed by Dr. Tang Jun, the Research Team for the Translation and Dissemination of Chinese Taoism Classics with Dr. Yu Senlin as the Director, and the Research Team for the Promotion of International Chinese headed by Professor Shi Ji.

建设目标：瞄准国家文化战略，立足现有基础，建设“海外汉学与汉语国际推广”创新平台，力争在以下几方面成为西部一流，全国领先的创新平台。“十二五”期间建成省级研究团队，服务国家文化战略及译介学博士点建设，为“十三五”期间申报外国语言文学一级学科博士点培养导师队伍。
Objectives: in response to China’s national cultural strategy, the School of Foreign Languages, SWJTU, makes full use of all available resources and aspires to develop a first-class innovation platform for the West of China, and even for the country as a whole, called the Platform for Overseas Sinology and International Chinese Promotion. This Platform aims to establish a provincial level research team during the Twelfth Five-Year Plan, to provide a doctoral program of Medio-translatology, and to develop PhD supervisors who can offer doctoral programs in Foreign Languages and Literature, a first-level discipline, both of which are expected to be approved by the Ministry of Education in the Thirteenth Five-Year Plan.
