Dominic is an experienced and versatile Oral English teacher from London, England. Qualified with an MBA, he worked as a Credit Manager / consultant in some large multinational companies (AOL, Technicolour, Espotting, Earls Court & Olympia, etc) for years. His 30 years of working experience enables him to have a deep understanding of people, businesses, and business cultures, so he can communicate with people, business people and organisation managers at all levels. He holds a University of Cambridge CELTA / TEFL teaching certificate, which qualifies him to teach English at a high level. Additionally, he has a degree in Theology from Brunel University in the UK, which enables him to understand philosophy, logic, history, psychology, and religions, which enriches all his English teaching.

Currently, Dominic is in his third year of teaching at the South West Jiaotong University. His students include 1^st and 2^nd year English majors, English translation majors and overseas programme classes. The teaching levels range from beginners to advanced in oral English. Dominic teaches some Canada bound IELTS classes as well as advanced academic English for Master students. He was also involved in bilingual training for some university teachers and helped them to learn and develop Western teaching methods. Dominic’s private school education in Britain provides him with a clear BBC accent which is very beneficial to his students. Additionally he is a well read individual with a wealth of English experience and so is able to teach and converse on a wide range of topics, giving students a good understanding of Western culture.

Dominic’s teaching has been very effective. Through his teaching, most of his students have improved their oral English greatly. All his students are encouraged to overcome their fears, to enjoy English, to relax while speaking and to develop a clear and correct pronunciation. One of his students went to Canada for further studies and has written to him recently, telling him that she was complimented by the Canadians on her excellent English speaking ability. Two of his students won the Sichuan English Speech competition, and one went on to become a winner of the China National English Speech competition in Beijing. Dominic was also involved with a number of company training programs in the past few years. His teaching was very successful and he was one of the most popular teachers with the students.
