On May 10, 2026, the Sichuan Provincial Final of the 28th National English Competition for College Students (NECCS) kicked off amid fierce inter-university competition. Following rigorous screening in preliminary contests, outstanding participants from various universities in Sichuan assembled at Sichuan University to showcase their comprehensive English proficiency. Relying on solid linguistic foundations and well-rounded academic literacy, students from SWJTU excelled in the competition and claimed multiple awards, including Grand Prizes and First Prizes. Such remarkable achievements stem from consistent hard work by all participants and fully demonstrate the fruitful outcomes of English teaching and talent cultivation at our university.

Back in April this year, SWJTU successfully completed its on-campus preliminary selection. The competition was organized in strict accordance with standardized procedures set by the national organizing committee, offering an all-round assessment of students’ practical English competence. During the exam, all participants stayed composed and answered questions earnestly, maintaining an orderly atmosphere in every examination room. Examination staffs strictly followed official regulations and performed invigilation duties. Meanwhile, multiple anti-cheating inspection measures were implemented to fully safeguard fairness and impartiality, fostering a rigorous and standardized competition environment.
