Research Teams

Four research teams for Foreign Languages and Cultures, Linguistics, Translation and Interpreting, and International Chinese have been formed and headed by prominent faculty members in an attempt to mobilize quality resources and integrate prestigious disciplines to conscientiously escalate the academic level stage by stage and produce remarkable achievements.

During the 12th Five-Year Plan period, our teachers have presided over 1 major national social science fund bidding project, 6 national social science Fund projects, 16 provincial and ministerial-level projects, and 45 provincial and ministerial-level projects.He has published 357 research papers and 135 academic monographs (translated works and teaching materials).

There are 15 full-time teaching faculties in the Department of International Chinese Education. Among them, 15 teachers have obtained the Certificate of Qualification for International Chinese Education issued by the Ministry of Education, and 11 teachers have been appointed by Hanban to performed their duties in 17 overseas universities successively. 7 teachers are HSK examiners and 3 teachers are examiners for Standard Mandarin.

DTI has four teaching groups, English language teaching group, interpretation teaching group, translation teaching group and E-C translation teaching group in rail transit engineering. Production is high, including academic monographs, translation works, textbooks and academic papers in CSSCI journals. DTI has two research projects funded by by The National Social Science Fund of China, 3 projects funded by Humanities and Social Sciences projects of the Ministry of Education and many other research projects funded by Southwest Jiaotong University.
