On May 9, 2019, Professor Jane Xiaobin from Ohio State University came to our college for academic exchange and discussion with the relevant principals of the Department of Chinese and College of Foreign Languages. At 1:30 p.m., Professor Jian Xiaobin and President Li Chengjian, Vice President Wang Pengfei, President Assistant Ren Xiankai, and Liu Bo, Dean of the Chinese Department, had a discussion on teacher-student exchanges, cooperation between our college and the East Asian Center of that university.

 At 2:30 p.m., Professor Jian Xiaobin gave a wonderful lecture entitled "Jointly Building a Multilingual and Intercultural Third Space" to our teachers and students. In the lecture, Professor Jane discussed the construction of the third space in the process of collision, struggle, harmony, and coexistence between different cultures and civilizations from different perspectives. Professor Jane's lecture is lively, humorous, and warmly welcomed by teachers and students. After the lecture, all the teachers and students asked questions to Professor Jane and hoped to further discuss the content of the lecture with Professor Jane.
