On June 18, 2022, Soft Science, a professional organization of higher education evaluation, officially released the Soft Science Ranking of Universities of 2022 in China. The Japanese major of Southwest Jiaotong University ranked 39th and was awarded the A-level. The Japanese major of our school has been awarded as the A-level major of Chinese universities for many consecutive years.

It is reported that more than 500 universities open Japanese majors. A total of 251 universities were listed in the Soft Science Ranking of Chinese Universities. Among them, 10 were rated A+ and 40 were rated A.
