Yan Qipeng, Deputy Party Secretary of SWJTU and Shen Huoming, Minister of Organization Department of CPC Committee, came to SFL staff and faculty meeting to announce a cadre dismissal and appointment on Apr. 23rd—to relieve Prof. Wang Weimin of his position as the Executive Vice Dean of SFL, and to appoint Prof. Yu Senlin the Vice Dean of SFL.
Prof. Wang concluded his 8 years as the Executive Vice Dean in a humorous and modest tone. His sincere gratitude to his colleagues’ support earned him grateful applause from the faculty and staff.
Prof. Yu gave his inaugural speech, expressing his gratitude for the trust as well as his pressure from the responsibility. He promised to make unremitting efforts so as not to disappoint his colleagues and the University.
Xu Ge, Party Secretary of SFL, and Li Chengjian, Dean of SFL, sang high praise of Prof. Wang for his endeavor and contribution for years in SFL discipline construction, faculty training, research team building, and graduates' education. At the same time, they showed their faith in Prof. Yu who will scale new heights in his new position.
In the end, Mr. Yan conveyed the great concern for SFL from SWJTU, expecting that SFL would constantly strive for new achievements in the framework for Arts Development Strategy.
