On October 30, 2023, Mr.Guillaume Delvallée, Consul General of the Consulate General of the Republic of France in Chengdu, Mr.Pierre Olivier Camaret, Director of Chengdu Center of French Higher Education Agency (AFHEA), and Ms. Wang Yang, Program Officer of Promotion and Study Abroad Guidance of Chengdu Center of AFHEA, and their delegation came to our school to participate in the communication meeting of the French Department’s teachers and students. Vice Dean Wang Pengfei, Deputy Secretary Yu Qingxiu, Ms. Wang Tingting and Ms. Huang Ting of the French Department attended this meeting, which was hosted by Prof.Wang Pengfei, and Ms. Huang Ting served as the on-site interpreter.

First of all, Vice Dean Wang Pengfei introduced the overview of French Department of our school and the student exchange programs between our school and French universities in recent years, and said that we’re looking forward to cooperating with more French universities in student exchange and teachers’ research.

Then,Mr.Guillaume Delvallée, Consul General of the Consulate General of France in Chengdu,delivered a speech, expressing his great pleasure in meeting with the faculty and students of our school and hoped that today’s meeting could enhance the students’ understanding and awareness of France and French higher education.

After that, Mr.Pierre Olivier Camaret and Ms. Wang Yang gave a presentation on France and French higher education for the students, which was carried out in the form of interactive questions and answers with the students, and those who answered the questions correctly could get a small gift with French characteristics. The interactive questions included French geography, cuisine, higher education, visa, etc. The atmosphere was lively and the students participated enthusiastically.
