Zhang Jie is an assistant professor in the Department of International Chinese, at the School of Foreign Languages, Southwest Jiaotong University. And she has been the secretary of the department for years，making arrangements for foreign students’ Chinese lessons. She got her bachelor's degree in TCSL at Sichuan International Studies University in 2002 and her master's degree in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics at Sichuan University. She has been a teacher of Chinese for speakers of other languages since 2007. The main courses she teaches are: Chinese Comprehensive Reading, Chinese Extensive Reading, Spoken Chinese, Chinese Writing, which are for foreign students, and Modern Chinese as well, which is for college students. She is active in class and her courses are full of interaction with students while less pressure. She has published several articles on TCSL, and been the sub-chief editor in of XIN HSK KAOSHI ZHINAN, which are a set of books for Chinese learning.
