刘波，文学博士，西南交通大学外国语学院国际汉语系副教授、系主任。汉语国际教育专业硕士生导师。伦敦大学亚非学院访问学者。2000年起在西南交通大学外国语学院任职，2013年--2015年作为国家公派汉语教师在英国卡迪夫大学孔子学院教授汉语课程并承担中国文化推广工作。本科就读于四川大学英语语言文学专业，获文学学士学位；硕士研究生就读于西南交通大学外国语言学与应用语言学专业，获文学硕士学位；博士研究生就读于四川大学文化与传媒专业，获文学博士学位。自2005年以来，从事对外汉语教学与研究十余年，先后为留学生讲授汉语综合课、阅读课、听说课和文化课，并为对外汉语本科生和汉语国际教育硕士研究生讲授专业课程；曾教授大学英语课程，为MIT翻译专业硕士讲授译作欣赏课程，主讲全校通识课中西文化对比课程，在中国大学慕课网主讲慕课《职场英语》,在线注册学习者超过五万人。科研方向为跨文化传播、译介学、语用学和对外汉语教学研究；在CSSCI来源期刊和核心期刊上发表论文8篇，出版译著两部，出版专著1部（合著），曾获四川省科研成果二等奖，主持省级科研课题三项，参研省部级科研项目三项，参编教材三部。中国语用学研究会会员，英中了解协会SACU（英国）会员。
Dr Bo Liu is the associate professor of Department of International Chinese Education at SWJTU. She provides strategic direction for delivery of DICE’s courses and involves in delivering courses for students majored in TCSOL as well as Mandarin at all levels for international students in SWJTU. As a qualified bilingual teacher in Chinese and English, she has been involved in the education profession for more than 15 years, in both the UK and China. Prior to her appointment at DICE, Dr Bo Liu has delivered an English MOOC (Massive Open online Courses) for over 50,000 learners enrolled on the website of China University of MOOCs.
In 2013-2015, Dr Bo Liu was sent to Cardiff University Confucius Institute as a Mandarin teacher by the Headquarter of Confucius Institute. After her time at Cardiff, she spent 4 months in SOAS, University of London as a visiting academic scholar. In her time in the UK, Dr Bo Liu has worked to deliver and promote quality language teaching and cultural activities both in universities and in schools across south Wales and London.
